Yesterday we went to Deegan's 1 year well-check appointment. Before we went into the doctors office, I was thinking about just over a year ago we were taking Deegan to his newborn doctor appointments. We were nervous new parents asking questions about EVERYTHING. He has grown so much in a year! Our awesome doctor, Dr. Rosemary Hyun, is so sweet. Anywhere we go (doctors office, grocery store, Target, etc) people are always commenting on how good natured Deegan is. They ask if he is always this happy? He is! He is always in a good mood and smiling! Dr. Hyun said most 1 year olds don't let her put the thing in their ear and they cry, but Deegan just sat there! He is such a good boy. He only cried when he got his shots.
At 12 months Deegan is - 31 3/4 inches tall (90-95%), 25 pounds and 13 ounces (75-90%) and 48cm head circumference (75-90%). So he is perfect! She looked in his mouth and said it looked like his bottom 2 molars will be coming in first. She said I could start giving him children's motrin because he is over 24 pounds. I gave him some last night and it was the first time in 11 days that he slept through the night! 8pm-7am! For the first time in 11 days I got good sleep! It felt so great waking up this morning!

Deegan has really begin cruising all over the furniture. Yesterday at the doctors he walked along 7 chairs in the waiting room! He will walk all along the couch and go from couch to coffee table. He still hasn't learned how to get down. He will just stand there and cry. I have been trying to put things on the ground for him to go for (keys, remote, etc) but he just whines! He will figure it out soon! He has enough padding on his butt with the cloth diapers, it won't hurt him if he falls.
